The main reason why Linux’s use is constrained is that Windows Operating Framework is more prevalent. Also, Linux is hard to install and many people are shy to do it. The larger part is done for Windows while Apple accounts for a smaller part of the product. Users who prefer Linux are influenced by the fact that it is least likely to have infection issues. However, if Linus as a framework can become more standard, it could be engaging and can attract more users (W3Techs, 2015). I see more desktop users going for Linux if the required standard is met.
