My Opinion as To the Conditions That Have Led To a Rash of Defective / Shabby Products Emanating From China over the Past Decade
There has been increased spread and consumption of shabby products from China across the world over the past decade. There are conditions and circumstances that have contributed to this scenario. In my opinion, the following factors have led to this phenomenon:
Lowered prices. Counterfeit products are so cheap as compared to original ones. Due to hard economic times faced by many people especially in developing countries, they end up going for cheaper goods to satisfy their basic needs (Lin, 2011). This puts them at the risk of buying counterfeit goods which in turn creates demand for these goods thus increasing their spread and increased consumption.
