Introduction
Installing IT infrastructure and software applications is crucial to utilizing information and communication technologies. Identifying and installing the appropriate IT and software applications helps to meet the organization’s currents and future needs. Investment in technology is meant to improve productivity, facilitate seamless operations and improve business performance (Pearlson, Saunders & Galletta, 2016). Enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM) systems have been integrated at International Plastics, Inc and this application software generate crucial business records and facilitate IT management.
Software applications and IT infrastructure
            The ERP, CRM, SCM are part of an integrated management system and IT infrastructure, which support operations in the workplace. At the same time, the technology allows users to work with specific data and information and the users can access the most relevant when they need it.   The ERP integrates various functions and departments into an IT system, the CRM helps manage customer relationship, and SCM helps manage information in procurement, and the whole supply chain (Graham, Manikas & Folinas, 2013). When developing the IT infrastructure there was emphasis on improving connectivity, flexibility and efficiency, which are associated with improved workplace productivity.  There is wireless connection, which makes it easier to connect mobile devices to the information system, and the users also link to the wider enterprise system.

The various IT applications are useful, but may raise concerns with regard to privacy security and control of IT resources.
