Six types of information systems are used in businesses nowadays. These are regarded as the Executive Support System, Management Information System, Decision Support System, Knowledge Management System, Transaction Processing System and Office Automation System. Karen wants me to develop her website and business systems. In this case, the Executive Support System can be used to make strategic decisions. It may also help collect, analyze and summarize internal and external information of her business. The Management Information System is concerned with the internal information source.
