Google and YouTube intends to make a product that will help in the expansion of YouTube’s subset of Google. Their most likely popular subsidiary with be YouTube Camera that will serve as a path to continue the success of Google and YouTube through a younger market, but already explored by many companies. The current positioning or the point of parity/difference (POP/POD) is that many features in YouTube/Google Camera do not exist in other cameras manufactured by competitor companies such as Sony, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Leica, Samsung, Pentax, or Panasonic Lumix (Bogen, 2017). These companies already manufacture cameras that have some of the functionalities of YouTube cameras and users have to discover the difference between cameras from these companies and those from Google and YouTube. For this reason, it is important to note the POP or POD that makes these cameras outstanding from the products manufactured by other competing companies such as Sony, Samsung or Panasonic.
Meanwhile, as social media continues to expand, YouTube has become increasingly popular among users across the divide. Therefore, developing a portable camera that can be used to film content for YouTube through a YouTube Camera will be a great idea. The idea built in this project is a YouTube/Google camera brand with an excellent sound quality and high-resolution images.
