The article explains the conceptual understanding of homeostasis. The hypothesis in this article is that homeostasis is a complex topic to understand since it is both abstract and tangible. Therefore, it is essential to get the correct perception of the issue so that it becomes easy for the students to understand and diagnose the human body using different physiological mechanisms. The research defined eight different characteristics to enhance students’ ability to get a clear theoretical understanding of homeostasis. The features were “process dynamics, physiological balance, control and regulation, feedback mechanism, environments, the dependency between events within a system or a process, multisystem, and levels of the organization” (Zion & Klein, 2015). They used 93 biology students in the 12^th grade to study the features. They then analyzed the students. They determined that most students had a correct scientific view of homeostasis.
