Jazz and blues are music genres started by Black musicians in the deep south around the 1900s. According to Leo (2020), the two genres of music have similarities and differences, such as the use of swing notes and mode of play. The similarities and differences in Jazz music make them interesting and gain a huge fan base.
Both jazz and blues music make use of swing notes and syncopated rhythms. The twelve-bar that is used in blues is also used in jazz.
