ANOVA Analysis In this test, the researcher aimed to perform a one-way ANOVA test with STATE as an independent (factor) variable and CUSTSCORE as a dependent variable. Furthermore, the LSD post-hoc test was also conducted to determine which group means are significantly different from others (Collins, 2020). In this case, the null hypothesis was:H0: All the group means of the different states are equal The analysis was conducted in SPSS, and the results were presented in form of tables, with Table 1 presenting the ANOVA results and Table 2 displaying the LSD post hoc test. Table 1: ANOVACustomer Satisfaction Sum of Squares df Mean Square F Sig.Between Groups 637.056 5 127.411 8.550 .000Within Groups 12860.691 863 14.902 Total 13497.747 868
From table 1 above, the results indicate that the p-value (.000) was statistically significant at the 0.05 significance level (Chedd, 2014). As such, we can conclude that there was a statistically significant between the groups, as indicated below:F(5,863) = 8.550, p = .000In this regard, the null hypothesis is rejected, meaning that there are differences in the group means of the different states. Additionally, the LSD post-hoc test further identifies the specific states where the group means in customer satisfaction differ. Table 2 below shows the comparison of the states through a series of t-tests that provide the level of significance based on the mean differences between the states (Kent State University, 2020). For instance, with regard to the state of Texas, the mean difference in customer satisfaction with Arizona, California, and Indiana was statistically significant, while that with Washington and Missouri was not significant at the 0.05 level of significance.Table 2: LSD Post Hoc TestDependent Variable: Customer Satisfaction LSD (I) State (J) State Mean Difference (I-J) Std.
