The most probable outcome of the lawsuit is that Gordon & Moore will be found innocent and not guilty of aiding and abetting the fraudulent scheme of the officers. Accountants can only be held liable for aiding and abetting fraud if they were aware of underlying fraud and provided substantial assistance in the commission of the underlying fraud.
