There are a number of techniques to measure the height of the windmills from the base of the structure to the top. The same techniques can be used to measure the height of trees in the backyard, mountains present in a valley, and tall commercial buildings. Firstly, we can measure it using a hammer, a broomstick, and a measuring tape. The process will go on by calculating the length of the windmills’ shadow. In another technique, which we used in this mapping project, is standing somewhere where we could easily measure the distance of one windmill from the other.
