ISSA CASE STUDY: Selina Kyle
The following is a comprehensive and detailed 12-week training program for the client. The program is not fixed. Hence it can be adjusted to suit needs that emerge during the period. The training program is broken down into macro, meso and micro-cycles.
The table below provides an overview of Selina’s training during the 12 weeks. As indicated in the assessment, Selina wants to lose the baby weight. Since Selina is not preparing to undertake a particular sport, the main focus of the training sessions will be to burn the excess fat and improve her mobility. The first week will mainly include introduction and familiarization to the program. The client will get an opportunity to understand what is expected of her during the sessions. Between week 2 and week 6, the client will build on cardio and strength. The load will increase as the client progresses to the 6th week. The other phase between week 7 and nine will include building endurance. The client will build endurance in her muscles, and aerobic. The last period will be from the 10th week to the 11th week. It will be the climax of the program where Selina will optimize her aerobic endurance capacity. The final stage is meant to allow Selina to attain her objectives for attending the training program.
