I enjoyed the discussion about Gucci’s challenges as it provided many learning points about real-world business problems. I found it interesting how group members defended their opinions regarding what Bizzari should do to rebuild the company. In regards to whether the company should hire internally or externally, I was of the opinion that an outsider would help turn around the fortunes of the company because of the creative stagnation problem. External hiring would ensure that new ideas and perspectives are brought onboard. However, I got to learn from the group members that external hiring could dampen the morale of employees. Unlike external hiring, internal hiring could motivate organizational members because they know that they are considered for top company jobs.
