Based on the information in the press release, what did EBAY’s report as the GAAP EPS and the Non-GAAP EPS for the quarter.
Based on the information which was given out by the press, eBay delivered GAAP net income of $5.31 per diluted share or $5.9 billion from continuing operations and it was generated by a non-cash $4.6 billion income tax benefit which was related to the development of legal structures, basically its international entities were affected, together with $0.8 billion gained after MercadoLibre, Inc holdings equity was sold (Acquire Media, 2017).
On the other hand Non-GAAP, which came as a result of net income from operations going on was $601 million or $0.54 per diluted share, the company also raised $620 million of operating cash flow and $484 million of free cash flow from operations taking place which also included $272 million cash tax payment associated with the sale of its equity holdings of MercadoLibre, Inc during that quarter.
