STEP 1:
Produce a biopsychosocial threshold profile for the person described in the scenario you chose. The profile must list both strengths (factors that could enhance return to work) and needs (factors that could inhibit return to work).

Environmental Factors including:
Family and social factors
Workplace factors
Legal and regulatory factors
If you decide that any of these are not relevant you must justify this.
STEP 2:
Propose three actions that a Disability Manager (DM) professional could put in place to assist the person described in the profile you chose to return to work. At least one of these actions must address environmental factors and involved the provision of an environmental facilitator or the removal of an environmental barrier.

Patient Biopsychosocial Threshold Profile
This section presents a biopsychosocial threshold profile for Logan, a 27 year old patient who was involved in an accident while extinguish a fire at a store at work. Before the accident, Logan had worked at the company for 2 years. The working environment is dangerous and aggressive but Logan is supposed to go back to work. In order to return easily return to work, there are some factors that affect our patient and his service to the company should be rectified before returning to work.
Personal Factors
Being a Fly In-Fly Out worker who equally spends two weeks at home and two weeks on site and an individual who when at home enjoys hunting, shooting, fishing, extreme sports and drinking. It is clear that the patient enjoys very light pastimes hence for return to work, he should do more challenging tasks like running and skip jumping to prepare him for the vigorous work environment he is to return to.
Health and Function
On matters physical health and functioning, the patient should be physically fit by ensuring steadiness of his arms, good limb coordinating and ability to twist, bend, stretch and reach the ground because his work involves lifting and moving weights.
Also, the patient should be free of disorders of thoughts, negative emotions and attention and concentration deficit. If he does, he will be free of Post-traumatic stress Disorder before resuming work.
Activity and Participation
The functional capability should be in check and should have good insight and judgment, since the work is team work oriented, the patient should be sociable and control his anger to even enhance his activ...
