Monet and Turner, Masters of Sea and Sky
The nineteenth century was the most well-known period in the history of Western landscape painting. Turner to Monet: the triumph of the view was the process carried out in nineteenth-century landscape paintings. The process was done mainly to distinguish the triumph of a landscape over other forms of art. There are a few countries in which landscape painting has been so important to the national culture, and an example is Australia (Radford, 1890). Astrophysicist Donald Olson breaks down the barriers between sciences and art by taking an analysis of literature from the past, thus, using the history. In this case of the Monet and Turner, Masters of the Sea and Sky, it's found that there were two Astronauts. These are Claude Monet and Joseph Mallord William Turner. Claude is the primary founding member of the Impressionist Movement. Joseph Mallord William Turner on the other side is often described as England's greatest painter. Both, are famous for spectacular landscapes accurately capturing the changing nature of skies and seas. Turner was regarded to be controversial in his days but currently considered as the artist who elevated landscape paintings to an eminence rivaling history painting. Beside his oil painting technique, he is also regarded to be a watercolor landscape painting commonly called painter of white, hence regarded as a Romantic preface to Impressionism. They both did their artistic work in the city of Etretat (Drapkin & Zielinski, 2009).
In this case, astronomical considerations of the daylight, twilight, night, skies and tides were used to enhance the understanding of creative artists. Monet painted a dramatic scene in his cliff, Etretat Sunset created in 1883 at a popular resort on the Normandy coast. The canvas shows the orange disk of the sun sinking towards the horizon near the spectacular line of the cliff and an arch called the Porte Aval. In the background behind the arch, rises pyramid-like rock formations called the needle. The image of the boats in the perils contrasts the cold light of the moon with firelight glow of the fishermen's lantern. Monet also focused on the light with the Sun reflecting on the Thames (Castle, 1817).
The mysteries arise in the case that, more than a century later, it has been tough for any visitor to the town of Etretat to reach the spot where Monet set up his Easel. The authors who have written many books concerning the scene have been unable to direct the visitors elaborately to the right location where this mystery of art occurred. It has been uneasy to determine close feeds where the accident...
