This case study has already met the mid-term requirement. And this order is to finish the course-end requirement. I will provide 3 examples and the textbook additiionally.

(1)(Already done) Summary: Introduction to Your Organization (Approximately 500 words) A brief account of the situation being investigated, providing sufficient information for the reader to understand the nature of the organization and its context. This section should include relevant background information as well as a clear statement of the focus of your case study. For example, it is appropriate to provide information on the age, size, and history of the organization, the product or services it provides, and the general nature of its environment. The purpose of this is to orient the reader, so that he or she can acquire an understanding of the industry or sector with which you are dealing, and the general trends it is facing. Following a general introduction, you should focus in on the specific situation of the organization that demands—or did demand-- attention.
(2) An analysis of the organization using metaphors, in two papers. Each should be between 3000-3500 words. 500 words of the first paper are a summary of information about the focal organization. 1000 words of the last paper are a summary of recommendations.
DUE AT MID-TERM: FIRST THREE METAPHORS (25%) Brief summary of the organization plus analysis via the first three metaphors 1) machine (classical management principles/techniques) 2.) organism (viewing the organization as a living system, focusing on its internal systems, its stakeholders, its external environment and evidence of its holistic perspective/dimensions), 3.) brain, viewing the organization in terms of intelligent functioning and decision making. 2500-3000 words.
DUE AT COURSE-END: COMPLETE PAPER, ADDING CULTURE, CREATIVE OASIS/PSYCHIC PRISON AND ONE TO THREE OTHER METAPHORS. (25%) The full paper should be approximately 5000-6000 words including the analysis of metaphors and recommendations ..
A.) SECOND THREE METAPHORS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION (25%) This section must explore culture and creative oasis/psychic prison metaphors, and at least one or more metaphor from the final offerings in the course, i.e., Flux and Transformation, Political or Instruments of Domination. 1500-2000 words for metaphors, 1000 words for recommendations.
B.) A Recommendations Section (approximately 1000 words) In this section, summarize the key challenges you have identified in the paper, and highlight the most relevant metaphors to address these. Offer substantial, comprehensive and clear recommendations, using the metaphors and addressing each problem you have identified. If there is a problem you cannot fully address, be sure to indicate this. Solutions should be tied to and emerge from your analysis via the metaphors. Which metaphors that you have written about best account for and help see recommendations for your situation? (For more details on this method, see Chapter 11 of Images of Organization). This will call upon your ability to use your information and judge its significance.
For example, you may find that your case is best understood as a situation of organizational politics, one of classic bureaucracy, or one that is best understood in terms of the inability of the organization to adapt to its environment, If you are successful in this final stage of the project, you will find that you have a much deeper understanding of the situation studied than you did at the beginning of the course. Your task in writing the final report is to communicate this understanding to the reader.
Here you can synthesize and go beyond the metaphors. Here, assess whether there would be ways that the metaphors could better inform the organization as to ways of improvement. One approach as you conclude would be to describe what the ideal manifestation of the metaphors would look like. Here you would be answering the question: “What characteristics, for each metaphor, would be present that would contribute to a highly adaptive, creative, efficient, ethical and intelligent organization?”

Huawei as a Culture
Organizational culture is an important aspect of Huawei. Out of the 91 Chinese companies listed on the Fortune Global 500 list, Huawei is the only Chinese organization that earns more revenues abroad than in China (Cremer & Tao, 2015). Its overseas markets are much greater than that of its home country. An important aspect of its success is the culture. Organizational culture is defined as how companies conduct their activities (Watkins, 2013). Culture is an observable and consistent pattern of behavior in a company. The culture of an organization is a great determinant of how the company will perform. Huawei serves as a perfect example of how an organization acts as a culture as well as corporate culture.
Huawei describes itself as having a ‘wolf culture’ (Huawei, 2018). This describes a set of attitudes, beliefs, and values that are shared by the company’s employees. Wolves are team players. They do not act alone, but rather depend on the strength of the pack. The atmosphere of team cooperation at Huawei is overwhelming as employees are encouraged to share and develop personal opinions with one another. The company emphasizes cooperative values and identity that are rooted in agriculture instead of competition. Staff members do not criticize their teammates and try to outperform them, but instead work collaboratively to achieve a common goal. Wolves are also resistant to conditions. Huawei displays this quality by showing fearlessness in taking risks and making crucial decisions for the progress of the company. The venture into the Chinese domestic telecommunications market serves as a good example of how fearless the company is. Huawei ventured into telecommunications in the mid-1990s, when the industry had already been dominated by big organizations, giving it a weaker position in China. The company decided to explore foreign markets such as the USA that were much more competitive and risky as a means of expanding its growth. The company had to compete with multinationals like CISCO and T-Mobile but eventually managed to create the fastest and most innovative equipment in the telecom industry to gain a competitive edge over these firms (IBS, 2016). Moreover, wolves are bloodthirsty — the company’s staff pay close attention to any new information that emerges in the market and quickly respond to get the upper hand.
Huawei has built a corporate culture that is centered on its customers and one that is similar to its subcultures. Founder, Ren Zhengfei established this culture by encouraging employees to focus their attention on the customer rather than on the bosses (Cremer, 2018). The company’s directors are the main decision-makers regarding company strategy and management. Their duties circulate the supervision of internal and external compliance and supervising the behaviors of undertaking the roles of directors. Huawei’s structure focuses on three aspects, the customer, product, and the area. These three latitudes have been shared among their respective subsidiaries across the globe.
