An example of the transformational CIO leadership includes the selection of a platform that meets the company’s requirements. For example, since the inception of technology in the business world, it was apparent to Accenture that the organization’s management had a plan to adopt software and hardware that would meet the customers’ expectations. Under the new management, Accenture signed a partnership with Microsoft with the intent of improving communication and enhancing the productivity of the applications (Jeffery, Fisher, Granot, Kadyan, Pho, & Vasquez, 2017, p. 6). Notably, this partnership helped Accenture run its IT sector like a business, thus maximizing its profits.
