Based on the developments of the leadership theory, to a large extent, I consider it as actually a new one. The leadership style involves various things that have significantly changed how leaders should act in contemporary society. In particular, it emphasizes three primary ways through which a leader can make a profound sense of purpose. They include cognitive development, emotional capacity, and social networks and relationships. In the emotional part, there exist courage, authenticity, values, and self-awareness (Mini-Case 8.1). The social relationship section comprises of virtual worlds, collaboration, community building, and alliance. The cognitive development part constitutes system thinking, innovation, creativity, and world view. These components depict that the new leadership style brings together almost everything that influences leaders. The traditional leadership models do not harmonize or unite these factors to make a complete or up-to-date method of governance.
