Primary data collection is a type of research that relies on first-hand sources to get information which supports the research topic. Primary data collection involves methods such as experiments, interviews, direct observations, and surveys. The information is collected based on the needs of the research project, and it relies directly on primary sources. Primary data is crucial since it helps understand specific problems, test hypotheses, or answer questions. Primary data is vital since it involves participants who have a first-hand experience of a particular phenomenon that is being studied. The researcher collects the information and they are required to find the right subjects who will respond to the research questions.
In the current research, the goal to collect primary data was to determine the type of sessions and events that participants attend, which are held at Trinity, and their views about the costs and their social media use. The survey also sought to find out the participant’s views about community support initiatives. This will ensure that the subjects in the study will provide valid results that will reveal their diverse perspectives. The primary data was collected via questionnaires that were sent to 42 participants.
The results of the primary data collection indicate that a majority of the participants attended the Ryhem Time session, while only a few of them attended the antinatal class session. Most of them also attend the sessions every week, and a majority do not take part in any events held at Trinity church.
