A summary and timeline from the accusations to the presentation of evidence are deciphered to show the readers the detailed accounts of the sexual assault crime committed by Bill Cosby. The series of events that took place from the day that he has assaulted Cosby's victim Constand and the removal of Cosby from Honorary rewards are all stated in the paragraphs of this paper. The failure of the Justice system to recognize the double life that Cosby has lived and the prevalence of Justice because of the strength and resilience of one woman is enunciated in the parts of this paper. Introduction Bill Cosby was a highly reputable comedian and entertainer whose case became sensationalized because of the irony of how the well-known actor and dad could do such criminal offenses of such extreme nature. Numerous women accused him of sexual assault and rape that led to his incarceration and conviction. He was known for being “America’s Dad” and had successful television stints that made America fell in love with him. Brief information about Cosby is that he was born in 1937 and acquired his educational degree in the University of Massachusetts. Later on in the years 1956 to 1960, he served in the military. Bill Cosby was rewarded with many accolades and had a series of shows and movies. He also had recording albums released and even won Grammy Awards. He was given lead and major roles. Likewise the famous Cosby Show debut in the year 1984 in NBC. A series of tragedies also took place in his life before the expose on his criminal acts of rape and sexual harassment of a number of women. Tragedies such as the death of his son who was robbed and murdered, followed by the issue of extortion from an alleged illegitimate child. His climb to fame was fast considering that he was a man of many talents and people loved him for the comedy shows and funny characters he portrayed. His success and popularity were not forever, and his downright fall from grace started when a woman named Constand exposed to the public in the year 2005 how Cosby drugged and sexually molested her. However, the legal authorities declared that evidence was insufficient and could not file a case against Cosby. Moreover, Constand filed another action for a civil case and sued Cosby for damages, which later on resulted in a settlement. The settlement cost more than 3 million dollars (CNN Library, 2019). At first, people doubted the credibility of Constand and did not believe her until more women went to the surface to file cases against Cosby for his heinous crimes of sexual assaults.
