Criminal justice managers should not concern themselves with the personal aspects of employees for multiple reasons. At every workplace, there should be a prominent balance between professionalism and privacy (Stojkovic, Kalinich, & Klofas, 2012). When a manager is concerned with the personal aspects of an employee, he/she delves into a space that barely concerns the welfare of the organization. Additionally, workplace success depends on trust among stakeholders. The moment employers show no trust in their employees, chances of reduced productivity among those employees reduce.
Ultimately, it is ethical to respect private space however difficult. That is because there are no laws that directly protect employers from invading employees’ privacy.
