I am a fitness expert and Violet is my client. She is a 58-year-old lady whose body fat percentage is 21%, height is 66" and weight is 140 lb. She was previously living an active and healthy life, but now, she has gained some weight and her upper body strength has decreased to a great extent. She is worried and wants me to design a training program that could benefit her in the long run.
Most Suitable Workouts for Violet
Even though strength training alone will not give quick results, we should not ignore strength training or weight training while trying to lose weight (Ling, et al. 2018). The workouts that I have chosen for Violet will help her shed extra pounds and will allow her to have strong muscles and an energetic body. She is required to come to the gym Monday to Friday and the duration of this training program is five weeks.
Week#1: Kettlebell Swings
It is a full-body, demanding exercise that will help Violet increase the strength of her arms and legs and will allow her to have a strong body in a few days. The heartbeat of the client may increase significantly, but there is nothing to worry about.
1 She will first complete a two-handed kettlebell swing for about 30 seconds.
2 Then she can take rest for one or two minutes.
3 The process will be repeated for 10 times a day, meaning there will be a total of 50 kettlebell swings Monday to Friday.
