Microsoft Company is the worldwide leading Company in Software and Hardware IT products. The main products are the Windows and Office Software together with other consumer products like tablets. It controls the IT market due to its proper and appealing strategic management plans. Its competitors such as the Open Source, OS, find it hard to compete it out. In this study, an analysis is done to the Company to find out what makes it successful. Most important, the management structure and strategic skills will be discussed in details.
Microsoft Corporation, a multinational Company, was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1970s. This duo had a great passion for computer programming. With their similar deep interest, they committed themselves in realizing their dreams. Through their labors, the Company came to be recognized on April, 4th, 1975. Bill Gates and Paul Allen saw their dreams fulfilled, and the former became the CEO. Its headquarters was initially in Redmond but later moved to Bellevue, Washington in the United States of America.
Behind the success of the Microsoft, Corporation Company is it's mission statement. The Company laid a vision at the onset of creating innovative technology that does not discriminate the people of disabilities but capitalizes on their capabilities. Some of the software products of the Company that has attracted the market include, MS-DOS, Windows, MSNBC cable television network and MSN Internet portal. Microsoft Corporation has also not been left in the computer hardware products. Some of these products include home entertainment products like Xbox, Xbox 360. (Ki, Kim & Ledingham, 2015)
The Company enjoys the loyalty and reputation of its Brand. With this advantage, it remains popular in the product market and realizes the maximum sale. Its brand is the 5th most valuable worldwide brand. Besides, Microsoft Corporation produces software that is easy to use, they have strong distribution channels that improve the Company’s financial performance. Therefore, the Company’s strategies in the establishment in market acquisition makes it on par with its competitor Companies.
Some of the marketing strategies that have been put in place include mobile advertisement, cloud storage, and growth through acquisitions. The Company has expanded to various parts of the world establishing markets in those areas. Through this process, the Company has gained stability in the market.
