ALPHA and AIS Integration Organizational change occurs when a company's activities are transformed to improve its performance and its operational structure. Indeed, it can be initiated by external forces, such as the implementation of policies by the government that target a specific industry. External business forces, such as regulators' guidelines and the government's economic decisions, significantly influence an organization's governance and stability. Besides, organizational change is impacted by consultants and professionals who create practices consistent with normative isomorphism. Internal forces can also lead to organizational change, particularly the restructuring of business processes or implementing new strategies for doing business. Additionally, mimetic isomorphism can cause organizational change, which entails a firm's tendency to imitate another because it believes its business practices are more beneficial and efficient. The paper summarizes ALPHA and its integration of the accounting information system (AIS) and explains how the application of the AIS helped the Malaysian agricultural industry. Moreover, it shows how the ALPHA method can be applied to small agricultural organizations. ALPHA's AIS integration was done using an institutionalization process that moves in a cascading way via three primary levels, namely the economic and political (PE), organizational field (OF), and organizational levels (OL). The AIS structure of the company changed significantly after 28th June 2012, when ALPHA's initial public offerings (IPO) were listed on Bursa Malaysia (Muhammad, Mastuki, Darus, & Ghani, 2019). The Webcycle system went live in April 2012. The Sunguard Integrity system was implemented in July 2013, which served as the treasury function. In October 2013, the online accounting and reporting function was completed successfully. The JustCommodity system was implemented in July 2014, which dealt with palm and sugar trading management. In January 2015, the AIS functionality was improved by enhancing the accounting and reporting capabilities by implementing the BPC system (Muhammad, Mastuki, Darus, & Ghani, 2019). The external forces that significantly influenced the implementation of the AIS at ALPHA are the economic transformation program (ETP), listing consultants, and regulators. Regulators who govern the listing in Malaysia are Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission (SC). The internal forces that a...
