Cultural approaches to HIV AIDS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Book Review Instructions:
Review Chapters 16-19 in Good Reasons as a review of research strategies. Responding to the knowledge you've gained, as well as your personal experience this semester using the library and online databases, express your fears about writing a research paper, how you intend to challenge yourself, and what excites you about your project. Include a brief paragraph about your intended research project. Be specific about what you intend to research, what you intend to argue, and the sources you will consider in the research. INCLUDE A WORKS CITED PAGE WITH AT LEAST 3 of the 8 sources. Also be specific whether this is a definition argumentative paper, an evaluation argument, a narrative argument, or a rebuttal argument or a proposal (problem-solution) argument. The research topic must be related in some way to Jonny Steinberg's Sizwe's Test. Some possible topics include cultural approaches to disease, biomedical approach to cultural understandings of disease, HIV-AIDS in Africa, U.S. involvement in HIV-AIDS in Africa. The research paper will require at least eight outside sources, three of which must be from the library databases. The sources must be varied—an essay that relies exclusively on internet sources will receive a failing grade. Please note that Wikipedia is not a valid source. The essay must use inductive and deductive reasoning and adequately address opposing views for the argument. The research paper must use MLA style citation for all sources—a research paper that does not include citations will automatically receive a failing grade. I'd also like you to note that my own novel, This Thing Called the Future, deals with cultural approaches to HIV-AIDS in South Africa and may be a source some of you are interested in using, depending on your paper topic.
