Prompt: This "historical" drama creates an accurate view of life in the Puritan era including material possessions as well as values and attitudes.Your job will be to create three arguments with supporting paragraphs about Puritan society based on ONLY what you have read from the play. You will use specific examples (lines and phrases) from the play as evidence to support your findings. You can create arguments about lifestyle, cultural values, gender roles, etc.
Use your brainstorm to create three arguments (three opinions). These should be complete sentences. These will act as headings. Underneath each heading, write a paragraph that supports/proves your point with details from the play. You will be citing evidence and commenting on how it is related and analyzing its importance. Include at least 4 citations from the play for each heading. You will need to do this for each argument. (3 paragraphs total)
Basiclly 3 individual paragraphs, all the paragraphs are related to the relationship between the book “the Crucible” and Puritan society. Paragraph 1 is about “the Crucible” related to the Puritan lifestyle, paragraph 2 is about “the Crucible” related to the Puritan cultural values and paragraph 3 is about “the crucible” related to the gender roles. Need to use specific evidences from the real book either a conversation or a dialogue, each of the evidence should be cited clearly.

“The Crucible” shows that Puritans means of living was based on farming. In line 192 of act 2, the author quotes Proctor stating that he had never stepped off to his farm in the seventh month. The line indicates that it is the only way that Proctor earns his living. It implies, therefore, that farming was a significant activity practiced by Puritans. Additionally, the play also stated that Parris claimed that he was not like other preaching farmers (Miller 582). It, therefore, means that most preachers also practice farming to sustain themselves. Parris stated that he is a graduate and thus not a farmer.
