The part of the passage that spoke to me most is verse 12 where Peter tells the amazed crowd that it is not by his or John’s power that the crippled man was able to walk. This verse is important because it helps in recognizing that God can use people to bring his kingdom and glory into the world. God uses Peter and John to show the world his mercy and love towards humanity.
The beautiful Gate, which is the outer entrance to the Temple is an appropriate location for the cripple to beg for alms. This is because the outer entrance was a strategic location where all people going into the temple would be able to see the cripple.
