Paul Lukehart wrote the book Practical Floor Supervision to encourage team members in the production processes to keep their specific lines of work to enhance high productivity. According to Lukehart (2015), the idea of employees concentrating on other faults around their work results to waste of time and frustration in case the victim is wrong. In case of a realization of a problem, supervisors should identify other individuals to solve the arising issues and allow team members to continue with their respective pieces of work. High-quality production in a warehouse ensures continuity as all the employees remain in the work positions strictly, solving issues related to adherence. Team members in a warehouse face various challenges including multi-tasking and performing untrained duties (Lukehart 2015). While the former results to poor productivity due to divided concentration the latter leads to failures and frustrations because of uncompleted or poorly performed tasks.
Warehouses could recognize an individual to perform the task of recognizing and reporting problems. The immediate realization will improve productivity as everyone at the workplace concentrates with their duties and not the problems arising around the setting.
