Another reason not to decrease the drinking age is because of the trickle-down effect. New legal age drinkers are the main source of handing over alcohol to underage peers. 21 to 24-year-old people are the main providers of alcohol to 18-21-year-old peers. If the age limit is lowered to 18 then even 14 to 15-year-old kids will also have easy access to alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alcohol interferes with the physical and mental wellbeing of a person. Excess use of alcohol can destroy a developing mind resulting in increased dropout rates.
