“Digital transformation is affecting all industries and businesses around the world. Emerging technologies are at the heart of this transformation, creating new forms of communication, conversation and collaboration between people, data and technology.” - Provide an explanation of what digital transformation is. Identify and explain digital transformation initiatives often adopted by organizations. Provide relevant business examples that are referenced from reliable sources.
“Although digital transformation is of relevance to organizations across industries, it is not always easy to implement digital transformation activities and strategies successfully.” - Identify and discuss the key challenges for the successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives. What are some of the barriers for success? Provide relevant business examples.
“While organizations are actively looking to transform through the use of digital technologies, many consumers are increasingly concerned about implications to their privacy and ability to protect their personal data”. - Provide two (2) recommendations for organizations for how they can use digital technologies to enhance the value they create for customers, while at the same time respecting their data privacy.
