Yes, the article is informative since it has outlined the issues that are associated with maternal mortality more specifically in developing nations. The article has outlined postpartum, hemorrhage, eclampsia, obstructed labor and sepsis as the main causes of maternal mortality. The high rate of death is experienced in developing nations due to lack of adequate health care and family planning programs.

The most interesting thing in the article is the rate which abortions are procured globally. Out of the estimated 211 million pregnancies, 46 million pregnancies are aborted in which sixty percent of the abortions being unsafe resulting to an estimated 68,000 deaths annually.
