Then, review the two research studies presented in this week’s resources for this assignment.
Note: While not a required resource, you might find the definitions in the Encyclopedia of Nursing Research helpful for this assignment.
This assignment involves identifying and describing different elements of the research method used in the Walsh et al. (2015) article.
Focus on the research design, sample selection, data collection methods, and plan for data analysis as discussed in the Walsh et al. (2015) article.
Identify at least two strengths and two weaknesses of the article’s research method based on trustworthiness. You must provide support for your explanation with citations from additional sources.
Use the Journal Club Template for Qualitative Research located in this week’s resources.
The template includes an area for each element discussed in the study.

Purpose or Aim of Study
The purpose or aim of this study is to explore individual, socio-environmental and interpersonal conditions and factors that constrain mothers’ ability to make preferred food choices for their preschool kids. It provides in-depth details of how mothers can push back against all of these constraints to ensure health and wellbeing of their little ones. The study seems to be necessary for Canadians because of the prevalence of obesity in children. It enables parents to take the right decisions and sheds light on how healthcare costs can affect the physiological and physical wellbeing of kids as a whole. It has succeeded in engaging peers in sports activities, promising their health to an extent (Walsh et al. 2015).

The study consists of a theoretical sampling of mothers with toddlers, aging from three to five years. The aim is to get multiple mothers and children involved, belonging to different settings, so that a variety can be created. Preschool children from across Eastern Canada have been involved in this study, and they have no diet restrictions. The subjects belong to different educational, geographical, economic and cultural backgrounds. The ages of mothers are from 23 to 48, with an average age of 30 years. The study starts with interviewing all of the low-income families (a homogeneous sample) and expands to rich families till the stage of theoretical sufficiency is reached. The sample group is expanded with an aim to provide insights into the core issue as well as it...
