Privacy of the citizens is one of the critical rights which should never be messed up. The decision of the American government through the NSA can be considered to be unethical but to some extent, it can be considered to be effective for the American government. The negativity part of it is that the government never consulted the American society before they made the step to starting surveillance on its citizens. The citizens could have given their view and then on disclosure this could not be an issue to the citizens. The society argues that their freedom privacy is attacked by the government. On the positive side, the surveillance by the government had been able to watch the society over the security matters. Planned attacks and other illegal acts could be realized early, and their occurrence is seizing.
In this incidence the government isn't fair to the American society and also the trustworthy of the government by the citizens is likely indecent. They can't trust the government any further having realized that their privacy has been disputed. The society, therefore, has the right to reclaim that the government has gone contrary to their human rights.
