However, with the SC becoming a more complicated process that integrates much more data, then businesses have a greater responsibility to adapt to the new demands. Change is the only constant in the present business environment. BI accommodates the use of various technology and software with the intent is to help the management make vital tactical and strategic business decisions. BI facilitates the organization of the immense group of data drawn from the SC process. Furthermore, Lanois and Chauvel (2017) perceive BI as a technical software that can be used for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
