Bruce Holland Rogers, article “The Dead Boy at Your Window” stands out as a fictional story that tries to explain the wasted chances in life. The boy dies during birth and her mother does not believe it; and vows to raise the baby. The boy acts as a messenger between the living and dead, conveying the messages that they hold so dear to them. He represents the wasted chances through the life he lives among the living while they molested and despised him without knowing that he can be of help.
The gap between the dead and living is clearly identified as the boy is able to connect the two worlds. The article tries to enlighten the people that they should utilize every chance they have and try to find the best purpose in everything even in death.
