This is your chance to share your thoughts on your classmate's work. Start by looking through everyone's first post and choose a post that resonates with you.
When making a response, avoid critiquing your classmate's submission. The goal here is to add to the discussion. When you do post, make sure you are expanding the conversation. Your responses to others need to contribute additional insights and can even raise further questions. Be as specific and expansive as possible.
Consider researching the example they've used or the concepts more in-depth. You may, sometimes, find it necessary to reference outside information to get your point across, as well.

Ms. Reid's discussion on "A Little Shop of Horrors," a musical comedy released on December 19, 1986, draws parallels between the media piece itself and Greek mythology. Ms. Reid says that "A Little Shop of Horrors" draws elements from Greek mythology, primarily in the central theme of its plot, of a hero seeking to raise his own status by exploiting a more massive power.
Ms. Reid first briefly discusses, in general, the "A Little Shop of Horrors" plot. It is about a shop keeper named Seymour who stumbles upon a plant. The plant which Seymour discovers, however, is not an ordinary plant. It is an alien plant. As the plant stays longer in Seymour's possession and care, the plant starts displaying mysterious characteristics. It is blood-hungry and is actually sentient. Seymour, oblivious of the plant's evil characteristics, bask in the fame brought to him by his discovery of a strange and unique plant. His hubris pushes him closer and closer to a dire battle between him and the alien plant. The climax of the media piece is a standoff between Seymour and the flustered flora Fatale.
Ms. Reid discusses that "A Little Shop of Horrors" actually draws from Greek elements. This point places the media piece in a whole new light, and suddenly its quirky structure and delivery as a musical comedy can be appreciated from a novel perspective. It is to an extent true, as can be recalled from some timeless Greek anecdotes and fables: Perseus slays Medusa to gain her head and her stone-turning gaze again...
