N’COBRA. Read "The Case for Reparations". Annotated Bibliography (Annotated Bibliography Sample)
This is the instruction.
- Read "The Case for Reparations" found at http://www(dot)theatlantic(dot)com/magazine/archive/2014/06/the-case-for-reparations/361631/ and write down in a document let me know what your topic is and bibliography of your sources. Your bibliography should utilize one secondary source (an academic book or journal article on the subject) and two primary sources (a newspaper account, oral history, official document) on the topic.
- Provide a summary description of each of your three sources (two primaries, one secondary). With this assignment, you will be analyzing all of your sources. Your summary should be a short paragraph of about 150 words for each source. This step is important because it will help you write your final paper, and some of this exact information you may end up including in your final essay.
I already choose a topic which is N’COBRA, National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America and here is the general content should include in the final paper:
In my paper, I will briefly introduce the history of this group and reparations movement, the difficulties N’COBRA has been met and their achievements.
Please help me to find three sources related to my content and provide a summary description for each resource. Thank you.
Repatriation has been a common issue in the United States which goes back to the history of slavery. Tai Coates article in the Atlantic has given a detailed account on how the issues of repatriation has been done over the years and the key legal and institutional changes that have been made to give authenticity to the repatriation processes. The issue of compensation for those willing to be repatriated has been an arguable case by several scholars. However, in my view, repatriation done voluntarily should be compensated as these slaves and especially the black community underwent suffering and many of them were disconnected from their families.
