Poor Minimum Wage – Annotated Bibliography
Butler, Paul. The living wage is a powerful weapon against poverty. More must pay it. 5 November 2018. Web. 14 January 2019.
This article is written by Butler for the news website The Guardian. It talks about the reality of people who are in poverty despite trying their best to make ends meet. Mainly, Butler discussed the current welfare system in wealthy countries. Despite having a lot of public and private institutions supporting the projects of the welfare systems, he said that these kinds of support are not viable in the long-term. Instead, in order to lessen the number of people that are living in poverty, he suggested that it is the ‘workplaces’ that should be changed.
