Global health inequalities
The article on global health inequalities focuses on the study of the inequalities in mortality of children aged below five years and adults. It uses the novel approach compounded by clustering techniques to categorize nations into groups such as better, mid level and worse as well as analyzing the risk factors associated with inequality.
In this study, it was noted out that 29 countries experienced high adult mortality while 23 countries experienced high child mortality. Afghanistan and the countries in west and sub Saharan Africa reflected the highest child and adult mortality. The reasons claimed for the high mortality rates in these countries were high and extreme rates of poverty (Ruger, Kim, 2006, p.929).
