The article by Guze (2015) explains how advancements in technology address the issues that are faced in medical education. The curriculum is a concern because of the outdated knowledge that needs to be updated to provide quality care to patients. This also emphasizes the medical profession as a place for lifelong learners and this now becomes a challenge due to the technological changes that require a more adaptive behavior, including the fact that the generations that are entering the field are now more modern in their ways of dealing with medical education. This article presents various technological advancements such as computer-assisted learning, mobile devices, digital games, and simulation and how these can benefit medical students in pursuing their education, but this article argues that despite the benefits, it is not enough as a stand-alone or complete replacement for the face-to-face learning and interaction.
