The article highlights one of the recent finding linking fronto-temol gamma electroencephalographic (EEG) activity to lucid dreams. However, a causal relation between the two is yet to be proven. The article talks about the relationship between the lower gamma bands during REM sleep if stimulated, it has an influence on the active brain activities because it induces self -reflectiveness of dreams. Other stimulation frequencies are not as effective meaning that our conscious awareness is related to synchronous oscillation around the brain .This article highlights some of the findings of study conducted on 27 healthy volunteers; the study included examining their brain activity by continuous, electrooculography (EOG) and electromyography (EMG) to determine if gamma-band activity triggers lucid dreaming. tACS was applied for 2minutes of uninterrupted REM sleep. After that, participants were woken up and asked to recall their dreams. The feedback from participants indicates that dreaming depended on the presence of gamma activity.

dreaming." Dreaming, 16(2), 88-95
The article presents the aim of one of the present study, the study aimed at differentiating lucid and non-lucid dreams in REM sleep. To test this hypothesis, a total of 11 people, seven men, and four women were involved in the experiment. A polysomnographic recorded were conducted during the study in a sleep laboratory for two nights. The EEG signal was analyzed to know the five different frequencies that occurred between 1 and 20 Hz. Both eye movement and dream reports were used to determine the levels of lucidity as they responded to light stimuli. The findings indicated that the difference between lucid and non-lucid dr...
