Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Chinese Classroom
Annotated Bibliography: You will conduct an examination of one issue in the assessment of SLA teaching and learning. Issues can include, but are not limited to:
• First language interference/benefits o Technology and SLA • Role of culture in SLA
• Research based teaching strategies
An annotated bibliography calls for an in-depth exploration of a particular aspect of research. It is meant to summarize existing research. Once your topic has been approved (which will happen during student meetings on Feb 9), you will find 8 articles pertaining to the topic. You will summarize each article as described below. This work will follow APA 6th edition.
• 1-2 paragraph introduction to the topic, why it’s relevant, and why you choose to learn more about it.
• Annotations of 8 articles (3-4 paragraphs each) • Summary of the article
• How it connects to your topic
• 1-2 paragraph conclusion detailing what you learned and how this research has helped you grow as an educator.
