According to this post, children nowadays are perceived to rely heavily on technology as a substitute for their play, resulting in limited creativity and imagination. This also limits their development in achieving optimal sensory and motor functions. It has been shown that the influence of the fast advancement of technology on the child’s development lessens the stimulation of the body’s system, particularly tactile, proprioceptive, attachment, and vestibular systems while overloading the audiovisual sensory systems.
