Management of acute ischemic stroke.
The article reveals that acute ischemic stroke is the most common type of stroke in the US and accounts for 85% of all cases. It is also the fifth cause of mortality. The study suggests that endovascular intervention is a practical approach to deal with stroke among patients without any intracranial bleeding or harming the patient. The study focuses on recent advancements in the management of acute ischemic stroke and compares two patients with large vessel occlusions who were assigned to an intervention or a treatment group. The results revealed that endovascular intervention resulted in higher functional outcomes without any increase in mortality and is a good option for patients who have an acute ischemic stroke.
