Exercise Science
I stopped to catch a breath and watched other students, who seemed to run across the field effortlessly. I was 12 years old. I had just moved to a new school where students participated in physical exercise for about an hour every day. I was not used to this kind of physical activity. I remember wondering why I could not do the same, since my body felt heavy and my legs weak, yet I was not overweight. I felt challenged. On that day, I made a promise to myself to be running at least a kilometer a day until my legs felt stronger.
