Statement of purpose: I hope that my transfer application will provide an opportunity for personal growth and development that will transform me into an independent high order thinker, a proactive team leader and player with a holistic worldview.
The most extenuating circumstances that could add value to my application includes my active participation in drama club and sports. I am not only a sports enthusiast, but a passionate soccer player as well. Besides, I posses unique leadership qualities that helped me hold school leadership positions in my second year. Since high school, I have held different leadership positions which has helped me hone my leadership skills. Another extenuating circumstance is my ability to remain cool, composed and focused when under pressure. This exceptional qualitity has been the hallmark of my leadership stint in high school. Besides, I am a proactive individual who is self driven and always seeking for new challenges and innovative ways of doing things. While in high school, I got actively involved in the planning and organnisation of a musical extravanza that was instrumental in fundraising $5000 in support of a cancer foundation. Besides, I am a business minded individual with an unquenchable passion for entrepreneurship. It’s this entrepreneurial attitude that motivated me to help my cousin establish a restaurant business that has since grown in both revenue and profits. I believe that my business passion will be quintessential to the successful completition of my business major besides adding value to my application.
I have previously been involved in independent decision making activities such as course selection and sports. Subsequently, I have developed a sense of ownership and responsibility that have enabled me to independently make informed decisions without the cues of my parents.
