I have always had a great passion of working with young children, and this is the reason why I decided to pursue a career in language and literacy development in preschool. Development of early childhood education can be a challenging task since a teacher must skilled in preparing learners to develop a wide range of experiences. Having understood these demands, I pursued numerous projects that enabled me gain diverse experience of enhancing literacy development among young children. For instance, I have actively participated in the development and teaching of project-based curriculum where young learners were taken through the basics of language and literacy development. Therefore, I am aspiring to further my skills and knowledge in English literacy curriculum development and gain licensing in 2020 for pre-kindergarten to grade two learners.
While in Beijing, I participated in planning and development of courses for children in preschools, daycare programs, and summer camp programs. Not only were these programs concerned with the development of STEM courses, they enabled me to gain skills in the development of literacy-based courses. In the past, I remember being taught that writing, reading, and arithmetic were the most essentials pillars of my education.
