ADMISSION ESSAY: PERSONAL STATEMENT Name: Grade Course: Tutor`s Name: (20th, October, 2011) ADMISSION ESSAY: PERSONAL STATEMENT My ambitions to study Radiology Residency have been informed by the fact that future of medicine will mainly rely on medical imaging and I do intend to be part of such revolutions as a radiologist. It`s during my studies at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, NY where I have been studying for Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine which I will graduate in May 12 when I made my decision to further my education as a radiology residency. The decision of pursuing this cause is very natural as I like imaging despite that I have not done much of it during my studies up to date. I am also fortunate to have worked on several publications on imagery such as the assessment of stature using an infrared technique, which was published at Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences Journal among others. Despite of the achievements I have achieved so far through training and research I am not satisfied with the direction my life is heading and I am more interested to narrow down to radiology residency. My choice, of pursuing radiology is because I want to be a physician I do understand that radiology is much intellectually challenging as compared to other medical specialty due to the technology involved. However, I am also skilled in computing skills of imagery, graphic animation and 3D animation of organic chemistry reactions.
