According to the Environment protection agency, 220 million tons of waste make up the amount, the United States of America produces every year on average. Symbolically, it is equal to more than 80000 that buried more than six feet into the ground. With this amounts of waste generated each year, recycling is one of the best ways to make sure waste stays at a minimal level in the environment. The other reason behind this research is that, these unstandardized requirements affect the environment as they release hazardous chemical and gases. These include facilities like landfills that release methane to the air and leachates into the soil (Tammemagi, (1999). Thesis statement All laws governing waste recycling, should be standardized to reflect the same goals and objectives in order reduce confusion and conflict when managing waste, across the states and increase pollution accountability (Committee on the medical effects of air pollutants, 1997). The audience This research is relevant to the environment agencies, the National government as well the local government, and in addition, the environmental consultation firms from all the states.
