The learning styles revealed in these self-assessments center around the three main domains of learning: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Sub-themes include the Multiple Intelligences of linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, intrapersonal, interpersonal, musical, body-kinesthetic, and naturalistic. The ninth intelligence, existential, is not included on the surveys.
After taking the self-assessments, share your learning style(s) with the class. Discuss your thoughts about your results, different learning styles, and the impact of learning styles on health and wellness.

Applying the Principles of Learning at the Workplace
Hillary Gardner introduced the multiple intelligences inspired activity menus as a normal part of her ESOL/Civic classes in 2006. Having first tried the technique in a class session to review what students knew about industrialization to great success, she introduced the MI-inspired activity menus to the City of New York’s Adult Literacy Program instructors and collected sample lessons and responses from teachers (Gardner, 2011).
One of the responses I received from taking the self-assessments commented on my sense of self, my demeanor and learnability, and even suggested effective ways to enhance learning. Another response on spatial intelligences commented on memorization of sizes and shapes of objects and drawing skills.
